WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is, quite simply, a sport, “The Sport of Fitness.” CrossFit is the principle strength and conditioning program that delivers a fitness that is by design, broad, general and inclusive. It encompasses cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, flexibility, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. Our routines can be modified to be effective for any age group. We scale load and intensity, but we do not change the program. The CrossFit prescription is “constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movements.” The fitness needs of people differ in degrees, but not kind. No matter what your career is in life or your age, everyone will find their best fitness from the same regimen.

IS CROSSFIT FOR YOU?

It’s easy to feel intimidated by CrossFit if you’ve never been big into fitness, but CrossFit is for everyone. The workouts can be scaled to meet the needs of everyone in the class, CrossFit is for all age levels. You will be challenged at whatever fitness level you are. The WOD (workout of the day) is fun! One of the fundamental concepts of CrossFit is constant variation of movements. CrossFit is anything but routine…you won’t be bored! If time is a factor, most WOD’s are done in 45 minutes-1 hour, making it easy enough to fit in to even the busiest schedule. We have a community mindset at CrossFit Texarkana. Our group classes are different than those you might find at a conventional gym. Instead of exercising with people who never know your name, we introduce ourselves, we talk about our goals, we cheer each other on, we participate in outside activities as CrossFit and most important we form friendships.

SCHEDULE

The time slots provided are times that work for our current members, but they seem to work for most everyone. We are often asked if we would consider other class times. YES of course, provided certain criteria is met. A commitment of a minimum of five people is necessary to create a new class time. Personalized sessions can be scheduled with any of our trainers at any time, provided it doesn’t interfere with a regular class. A visit to our facility or to meet with a trainer may be scheduled by calling the contact number at the top of page.
